Pics here are from the ebay sellers. All told, this should equal one complete set and some spare lenses, cracked or otherwise. What am I doing with them? Possibly sticking them on the Ranchero - if that doesn't "work", on a board or something.

Hopefully I can dress them up to *this* level.

Here's what I'd have them as an option with. Not terrible, but not as amazingly cool.

A guy I know did this with his '63 wagon, I think the lenses were from a 50's ford, but it was years ago.

When I first saw those I thought they were 2002 tails.

The funny thing is, that pic is very similar to the option lenses that were available for the Sprint starting in '63. Of course, they never made a Sprint wagon, but who's to know?

An easy mistake. I like the Cortina ones more, and they're a little easier to come by, but there's definitely a strong resemblance.

Lotus/Ford Cortina tail lights?

Well, ordinary Cortina Mk. 1 anyway. Not unique to the Lotus. The ones they sold in the US had a red signal sector instead of amber, that's the only variant I know of.

I included the "Lotus" just to cover the rare case it was a Lotus tuned version, was pretty sure it was Cortina tail lights regardless.
Without knowing any actual dimensions, I'm guessing they're a little too big to fit a Ranchero, but if they do fit that'll look awesome. Post up when you find out, that tail light design is cool.

Well, the Ranchero taillight recess has another recess in it. If it doesn't go all the way into the inner, I'm quite certain it can be adapted to the outer. The outer is *big*.

Gotcha, like I said I don't know the dimensions for either part. In any case, they will look awesome, figure out a way to make them work.

The butt end styling of the Ranchero around the lights is fairly similar, which is one reason I decided to take the plunge. It can't be *that* bad. Not to mention having been in love with the Mk.1 lights since forever.
